Thomas M. Baird, Sr., CLU, ChFC, is the principal owner of Planning Services of  Dallas, Texas.  He studied at The University of Texas at Austin and The University of  Texas at Arlington majoring in Business Administration.  Mr. Baird served for three years in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany. 

He entered the life insurance business in Fort Worth in 1975 with Lincoln National Life Insurance Company.  In 1978, Mr. Baird was transferred by Lincoln National to St. Louis as Agency Vice President.  He returned to Dallas in 1981 as a General Agent for Acacia Mutual Life Insurance Company.  Mr. Baird started Planning Services in 1983 and began developing strategies for employee benefit plan design.  For the past eleven years he has studied various employee programs and, by restructuring benefit plans to utilize creative cost saving ideas, he has enabled companies to realize enormous savings.  He applies comprehensive underwriting experience to negotiate additional savings on renewal contracts.  Mr. Baird received the Chartered Life Underwriter designation in October 1979 and the Chartered Financial Consultant in 1984.  He is currently studying for the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist designation.

Thomas M. Baird, Jr. attended Collin County Community College and Springhill College in Mobile, Alabama.  Tom has worked as a mortgage loan officer at Provident Bank of Dallas and as a mortgage broker at FSI, Inc.  He is currently studying for the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist designation.

Kay Baird received her Bachelor of Science degree in education in August 1962 from Northeast Missouri State University, Kirksville, Missouri.  She majored in sociology with minors in psychology and speech. Mrs. Baird's work experience has been in the field of personnel recruitment and administration of employee benefit plans.  She was employed  for several years by Blue Cross / Blue Shield of Kansas City. Working as service representative, Mrs. Baird researches and resolves client and individual claim problems .

Trudy Harris attended the University of New Orleans. She works as the COBRA administrator for Planning Services. She maintains billing databases, directs enrollments to the appropriate carriers, manages COBRA notifications and enrollments. She also works with the carriers to expedite the enrollment process, as well as assisting clients and enrollees with enrollments and any other COBRA related issues.

JoAnne Pettijohn received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1992 from Texas Tech University, Lubbock. She majored in International Economics with adjunct studies in Spanish. JoAnne entered the medical sales business in April of 1995 with a start-up HMO in Fort Worth, Texas. In 1997 she marketed health and ancillary products to brokers and consultants on a fully insured and self insured basis with a CIGNA of Dallas. She relocated to Austin in 1998 with Prudential and was promoted to Sales Manager of the region. She returned to Dallas in 2002 with Aetna to market medical, dental, life and disability benefits to large employer groups. JoAnne joined Planning Services in 2007 in the sales department working with small and large employer groups to help them choose a comprehensive solution to their employee benefits.
